LiAura shares her reinvention of “Thunderstruck”
British Columbia-based South African-born Auret Esselen, aka LiAura has unveiled her debut single under this new moniker, a truly remarkable new version of “Thunderstruck” by AC/DC. Her version takes the listener on an orchestral journey of a familiar song.

When I hear “Thunderstruck,” I immediately think of the hit hard rock song by rock legends AC/DC. LiAura has unveiled a memorable orchestral version of the classic track with a middle eastern flair.
The arrangement is captivating, with the orchestra reinventing the well-known rock instrumentation to create a truly epic sound. LiAura’s stunningly powerful vocals evoke a new level of depth to the track.
Throughout the duration of the track, the melancholic arrangement merges incredibly with LiAura’s vocals, and every so often, there’s an abrupt yet welcomed boom of “THUN-DER.”
