“This song came from a pretty real place. My family and I moved out of the city and into the mountains, and suddenly the river, the wildlife, the stars and all that space became part of everyday life. At its heart, it’s a love song. It’s not about needing space from each other — it’s about needing space from everything else. Sometimes getting lost together is the best way to find each other again.”

One of my favourite lines is, “I think we both could use a little space / But not from each other.” I love that! It’s such a simple way of saying that sometimes you just need a break from everything, except the person you love. The chorus is catchy, and I can definitely see myself singing along while driving down the highway.
