A powerhouse night of country music under the summer skies of St. John’s.

The Churchill Park Music Festival has announced a second night for all the Country music enthusiasts. Hitting the stage on Friday, July 24th is none other than the highly acclaimed and four-time GRAMMY award-winning country singer, songwriter and guitarist Keith Urban.

Keith Urban has spent a great deal of his life harnessing a deep=seated passion for music. This, along with his talent and drive for music, helps one to understand why he is one of the most successful and well-respected artists in the world. Fans of Urban are sure to be enthralled by songs such as ‘Blue Ain’t Your Color’, ‘Wasted Time’, ‘Somebody Like You’. ‘Long Hot Summer’ and his duet with P!nk, ‘One Too Many.’ Urban is also sure to play some tunes from his latest studio release, HIGH, including tracks such as ‘Heart Like A Hometown’, ‘Straight Line’ and ‘Messed Up As Me.’

Accompanying Urban for a night of fantastic Country music are American country-pop singer-songwriter Russell Dickerson and Canadian country artist Dallas Smith.

The multi-Platinum chart-topper and Triple Tigers entertainer Russell Dickerson first broke through on the music scene by wearing his heart on his sleeve through the launch of five deeply romantic number one hits. These include: ‘Yours’, ‘Blue Tacoma’, ‘Love You Like I Used To’, ‘Every Little Thing’, and ‘God Gave Me a Girl’. Most recently, Dickerson has released the dance-floor-ready hit ‘Happen to Me’, landing himself on the Billboard Hot 100. According to his biography, he is sure to deliver “a bold blend of country-soul, ‘80s rock, and modern pop – pushing sonic boundaries while keeping [his] signature heart-on-sleeve sincerity.”

Canadian country artist Dallas Smith boasts noteworthy success ranging from being the front man of Platinum-selling rock band Default to three-time consecutive CCMA Entertainer of the Year. Fans are sure to hear some of Smith’s earlier tracks such as ‘Trippin’ Point’, ‘Slow Rollin’’, ‘Wasted Gas’, ‘Cheap Seats’, and ‘Autograph’. Some of his later tracks include ‘Like a Man’, and ‘Use Me’. If we are really lucky, we may even get a treat from his days in Default. You are definitely not going to want to miss this!
