Central Cee
June 1, 2025
MTELUS, Montreal, QC
Central Cee’s first of two sold-out nights at Montreal’s MTELUS was a testament to his rising global star power. From the moment the lights dimmed and the opening notes of “Doja” dropped, the venue erupted—an explosive start that instantly electrified the crowd.
With over 20 songs in the setlist, fans were treated to a full showcase of Cee’s catalog, phones in hand and voices raised for nearly every word. The energy in the room was palpable, driven in large part by the sheer enthusiasm of the crowd. “Must Be” stood out as a highlight of the night—its introspective tone and melodic flow hit especially hard live, becoming a clear crowd favorite.
That said, it was also clear this show came at the tail end of a long tour. Central Cee, while professional throughout, at times looked visibly fatigued and lacked some of the sharpness and energy he’s known for. While the fans carried much of the momentum, his performance occasionally dipped in intensity, a likely sign of the physical and mental toll of back-to-back shows.
Still, he powered through to the end, closing strong with “BAND4BAND” and “No Introduction,” leaving fans with one last rush of adrenaline. As the penultimate show of the tour, it may not have been his most dynamic performance, but the crowd’s energy made up for it, proving that Montreal knows how to show love—even when the artist is running on fumes.
