Times just keep getting more interesting, and Bae Baracus keeps making offbeat upbeat pop beats.

Yesterday, the band unveiled a music video for the track, “Transgressive,” which was filmed by Meaulnes Laberge, with assistance from Carol Wainwright. and edited by bandmembers Lin Gardiner and Dolly De Guerre.

Review

“Transgressive” is a bold, high-voltage anthem for the unapologetically different. Blending glitchy trip-hop with raw, spoken-word swagger, it’s a call to arms for misfits, outcasts, and anyone who refuses to play it safe.

At its core, “Transgressive” is about embracing your inner freak and walking tall in a world that constantly tries to push you down. It’s inspired by those who’ve fought for their rights—especially women, immigrants, and marginalized communities—and continue to resist despite the constant threats to their freedoms.

The hook—“We’re loud and proud / More than progressive / Our heads unbowed”—is more than a catchy line; it’s a battle cry. With sharp lyrics touching on neurodivergence, rebellion, and self-expression, the track hits hard and doesn’t flinch.

“Transgressive” doesn’t whisper—it roars. It’s glitter and grit, raw emotion and resistance wrapped in an electro-charged package. If you’ve ever been told to tone it down, this is your permission to turn it all the way up.
