Current Swell shares new single, “If You Want My Time”

Current Swell Release Uplifting New Single, “If You Want My Time,” a Nostalgic and Melodic Take on Love’s Quirks

Victoria, BC-based indie rock band Current Swell returns with their latest single, “If You Want My Time,” a heartfelt and infectious track that captures the balance between love’s deep affections and everyday frustrations. Wrapped in catchy melodies and nostalgic warmth, the song is a sincere reflection on commitment, care, and embracing imperfections in a relationship.

Recorded by JUNO-nominated producer Gus Van Go at Boiler Room Studios in Toronto, “If You Want My Time” combines candid emotion with a lively and memorable sound. Blending elements of rock, roots-rock, and indie-rock, the track showcases Current Swell’s ability to tell compelling stories through dynamic instrumentation and feel-good energy.

Scott Stanton shares,

“If You Want My Time” was sparked by a chorus that had been living in my head for over 15 years, its nostalgic feel rooted in time and memory. When revisiting old lyrics, the theme became clear, “You do all this, but it’s all good.” It’s a celebration of commitment, care, and acceptance, wrapped in a catchy, infectious melody.

For over a decade, Current Swell has built a global following with their electrifying live shows and soulful, genre-blending sound. Fronted by longtime friends Stanton and David Lang (vocals, guitar), alongside Louis Sadava (bass, vocals), Marcus Manhas (drums), Phil Hamelin (trumpet, keys), and Dave St. Jean (trombone), the band has toured worldwide, captivating audiences from Brazil to Australia and selling out theatres across North America and Europe.
