However, there is so much more to explore on the website like I said. So check it all out in your free time, but for no,w let’s get into this week’s list of music.

Five

Starting things off will be Scarborough’s rising talent ZYHIER, who steps into the spotlight with his sultry new single “FEVR DRM.” It’s an intoxicating blend of R&B, hip-hop, and pop, showcasing his knack for weaving personal experiences into genre-bending melodies. With sexy, romantic, and chill vibes, the single highlights his ability to craft emotionally resonant music while pushing the boundaries of contemporary R&B. Check it out in this article.

Four

Coming up next is gonna be Montreal-based neoclassical artist and composer, Erik Lankin. His new single “Onward My Son,” delivers an uplifting narrative of overcoming grief with resonant melodies and intricate production. Inspired by the myth of Icarus and his father Daedalus, it conveys the weight of inherited legacies and the struggle to forge a new path forward. Please be sure to check out our article and have a listen to the debut album in this article.

Three

Up next on our list, Patrick Smith is a Toronto-based saxophonist who has studied with Mike Murley, Kelly Jefferson, and acclaimed American saxophonist Mark Shim. His debut album, Pangea: Rebirth, is a bold exploration of global musical connectivity and jazz fusion. Its lead single “Endless Construction,” can be heard across all streaming platforms now. But you should check out the album in this article.

Two

This week’s number two spot goes to Whiskey Jack and their latest single. “O L D” was inspired in early 2024 when singer and guitarist, Douglas John Cameron was chatting one day with his old pal. During the discussion, Cameron had a momentary brain lapse and forgot something. You can hear the new single in this article.

BONUS: Canadian Beats Passport

Our bonus passport recommendation coming from around the world, it’s gonna take us to Buffalo USA to meet up with Until I Wake. The band is pleased to announce their new album Renovate, which was released on all streaming platforms on December 6 through Fearless Records. They have upped the ante, cranking all knobs to 11. Check out this article to learn more.

One

Now for my final pick of the week, MEGGO the creative project done by Montreal-based musician and producer Megan Ennenberg. She invites listeners into an intimate world with her debut EP, eavesdropper ;; death stories. Standout track, “sylvia’s place ;; tricks,” serves as a poignant meditation on love, loss, and presence, blending acoustic roots with experimental soundscapes to create a piece that feels both nostalgic and timeless. be sure to check out my number one recommendation in this article.
