Vancouver and Calgary wasn’t enough, we just had to check out Sum 41 ‘s farewell Tour of the Setting Sum one last time! Lines were snaking all around the venue long after doors open, and the venue was packed to the brim with nostalgic fans!

The all-Canadian lineup kicked off with BC’s Gob, who delivered a super fun and energetic set. Then, Toronto’s Pup took things up a notch and had the crowd hyped ahead of the main act!

Shortly before 9pm, Ontario punk rockers Sum 41 took the stage for one last time in Montreal! With back-to-back pneumonia and back injuries from frontman Deryck Whibley, the tour has seen many cancellations, so we felt extra lucky to witness the show last night. The set started with a punch, to the sound of Motivation (including fire), The Hell Song (including confetti and smoke) and Over my head. The 27-track setlist included massive hits like Fat Lip and In Too Deep, as well as covers of Slayer’s Raining Blood, Metallica’s Master of Puppets, and NOFX’s Linoleum as closing track.

The show was full of great energy, Deryck enchanting the crowd as much as he did during his Laval last visit opening for the Offspring in 20219! The evening perfectly balanced nostalgia and hype, the perfect way to say goodbye to Sum 41!

Sum 41’s Tour of The Setting Sum has only 3 dates left, with London and Toronto by the end of the month! For tickets and more info, visit the band’s website.
