GETTING READY TO CELEBRATE LATEST ALBUM it’s a me thing 🙂 WITH TORONTO (Nov 23) AND MONTREAL (Nov 29) SHOW STICKETS AVAILABLE NOW!
Indie-pop sensation Maya Malkin (of Motel Raphaël) may have just released her brand new sophomore solo album, it’s a me thing 🙂, but that didn’t stop her from recording a vibey new original holiday single “Chill Christmas (With You)”!
Out TODAY, this holiday pop song, co-written with fellow musician Alexandria Maillot, is all about those joyful vibes of celebrating with loved ones.
“The song was inspired by the feeling I get when I’m enjoying the holidays with my family,” Maya shares. “There’s a magic and a warmth to this time of year, and one of my favourite things to do is lounge around with them in our pyjamas, drinking a nice glass of wine, watching the original animated Grinch, with the Christmas tree lit in the background.”
This isn’t Maya’s first venture into holiday music; her previous releases include “I Hope You Have A Horrible Christmas,” which was featured in a Disney and Paramount Christmas short called The Ugliest Of Them All. She also put her own spin on the beloved classic “What Christmas Means to Me.”
Later this month, Maya will celebrate the release of her sophomore album with a Toronto show on November 23rd at Division 88 (TICKETS) and a Montreal show at Le Ministère on November 29th (TICKETS).
