Kim Mitchell & Main Street Revival

A wild party was to be had at Ottawa’s Bronson Centre on Saturday as the legend of Canadian classic rock, Kim Mitchell, took the stage as part of Boom 99.7’s Legends Weekend.
The love the crowd had for the former Max Webster guitarist was felt far and wide as Mitchell took them through a set of both solo favourites as well as those from his days in Max Webster. Tracks like “I Am A Wild Party” and “Go For Soda” had the crowd singing at the top of their lungs, and shaking like a human being in the theatre isles.
The love was especially high for the Max Webster tracks; some of which, like “Here Amongst Cats” dated back to the band’s self-titled 1976 debut. But the loudest cheers came for the biggest hits, like “Paradise Skies” and “High Class in Borrowed Shoes,” a song notable for being nearly as loud as the audience reaction.
Opening for Mitchell at the Bronson Centre was Ottawa’s Main Street Revival; whose brand of roots indie-rock delighted the crowd and got them excited for the rock and roll to come!
