Hillsboro Share New EP and Music Video “White Trash”

Hillsboro Unveils White Trash EP, and music video

Born of a transformative period for the group, Hillsboro’s EP White Trash was released on August 24th sees the band push their sound into uncharted territory, embracing newfound musical freedom, and an unapologetic emotional rawness. Informed heavily by the sounds developed over an intensive run of live performances, moments of White Trash had initially been intended to appear on Hillsboro’s 2023 debut, but it became clear to frontman Nima Walker, and the group over this stretch that these songs needed their own world to live in.

Following the release of the singles “sleep dealrrr,” and “Fell.” The EPs titular track “White Trash” came to life from a spontaneous jam session initiated by bassist Tucker Hoey. What began as a joke quickly evolved into one of Hillsboro’s most recognizable live tracks, Hoey’s crushing distorted bass lines laying the perfect foundation for an intense, and emotive vocal performance from Walker unlike anything the group has delivered to this point.

“White Trash” is accompanied by a music video Directed by Nima Walker in collaboration with Pablo Garcia. The video, inspired by the works of Harmony Korine, and David Lynch showcases a bleak look at childhood in suburban North America. In support of the EP’s release, Hillsboro plans to embark on a second stint of Western US tour dates from August 31st-September 23rd with show announcements soon to come.
