Country artist Allison Daniels asserts her worth and her voice in the new single “You Can’t Buy Me”
Quebec City-based country singer-songwriter Allison Daniels is a rarity – a young artist who has made her living almost exclusively as a working musician and her sound is impossible to pigeonhole. It’s a seamless blend of rock, traditional country, and swampy blues, with hints of country pop haunting the edges. On June 21, via 604 Records/Warner Music Canada, she proved her worth with the release of her new single “You Can’t Buy Me.” Teaming up again with Ryan Stewart (Carly Rae Jepsen, Simple Plan) and Tavish Crowe (co-writer of Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe”), Daniels seamlessly blends her love for country and rock music to deliver an anthemic self-empowerment track.
Daniels shares,
““You Can’t Buy Me” reflects my frustrations with society’s emphasis on material possessions and wealth. This song communicates my belief that true value lies in authenticity and genuine connections rather than materialistic pursuits. I wanted to assert my worth through these lyrics and show that I can’t be persuaded with money or things.”
