Quote From Editor,
“Intuition is packed with vibrant melodies and meaningful lyrics taking you on a voyage through love, resilience, and self-discovery. From uplifting anthems like “Diamonds,'”where the lyrics remind us “Cause diamonds aren’t for everyone / And they sure aren’t meant for you,” to soulful reflections in “If All We Have,” where the lyrics express “But if all we have is tonight / I’ll cherish your love like delight” each track offers something special. With its contagious energy and heartfelt emotion, this music will stick with you, touching you deeply.”
First off care to introduce yourself to our readers?
Hey there, lovely readers! I’m thrilled to share a piece of my world with you. I’m Sadé Awele, an Afro Soul, Afro Pop, and R&B artist, deeply passionate about crafting soulful tunes that reflect both my heritage and my love for music. For as long as I can remember, music has been my constant companion, guiding me through life’s highs and lows. From writing heartfelt lyrics to producing captivating melodies, every aspect of the music-making process fuels my creative fire. I’m here to spread joy, connect with souls, and bring a little piece of my world into yours through the power of music.
Tell us a bit about your recent release.
Intuition was written with the intention of creating a diasporic sound, influenced by my Nigerian upbringing combined with a mix of cultures and genres that have shaped my identity. Intuition tells a story of my journey in different stages of experiencing love to finding peace, finding myself, finding joy, feeling pain, and embracing the moments in-between. The project was made with the contribution from incredible artists, including Juno and Grammy-nominated artists,
How do you typically go about the songwriting process? Do you have a specific method or creative routine that you follow?
When it comes to songwriting, I’m all about following the flow of inspiration and tapping into the emotions of the moment. There’s no one-size-fits-all method for me; instead, I let my feelings guide the process. Sometimes it starts with a mesmerizing guitar riff that loops in my mind, or it could be sparked by a spontaneous jam session with my friends, where magic happens in the synergy of our musical energies. Other times, it’s deeply personal experiences or themes that resonate with me, urging me to pour my heart out into lyrics. Whether it’s a burst of creativity or a reflective moment, I cherish the spontaneity and authenticity that each songwriting session brings.
