DIAMOND CAFE RELEASES “SLOWLY FADING” UPCOMING FESTIVAL AND TOUR DATES ANNOUNCED
Pop-Funk artist Diamond Cafe follows his sultry smooth single “When You Can’t Resist” with the release of the upbeat and funky track, “Slowly Fading,” alongside the official video starring actress Maddie Phillips (Gen V, Teenage Bounty Hunters). The video was filmed one late night in Vancouver by Diamond himself, and in true Lynchian form, it pays homage to Laura Dern’s performance in Wild At Heart.
“Slowly Fading” reflects a lost love in a time that once was, or a dream you can never really grasp – it’s the sensation of love being played out in a dream. The song, produced by acclaimed GRAMMY award-winning producer POMO (Free Nationals, Anderson. Paak, and SG Lewis), showcases Diamond’s distinctive falsetto vocals and smooth, velvety sound and an infectious drum beat that is sure to stick with listeners.
Known for his captivating live performances, Diamond is set to bring the live show out on the road this spring and summer with a handful of dates opening for TALK at the end of April and the beginning of May. He also recently announced an appearance at one of Canada’s largest festivals, Festival D’ete in Quebec City, where he’ll be playing on July 6th. Stay tuned for more dates to be announced.
Named Amazon Music’s Artist To Watch for 2024 and hailed by Pitchfork as a “Pop-Funk Prodigy,” Diamond Cafe creates polished R&B and funky synth-pop that transports listeners to another era. His powerful vocals and impeccable falsetto, reminiscent of a church choir, offer soul-stirring harmonies that immediately capture attention. Throughout 2023, Diamond made a name for himself by cultivating a devoted fanbase, selling out numerous live shows, and releasing Diamond Cuts, a collection of remastered versions of his independently released fan-favorite tracks. He has garnered support from notable figures such as Zack Fox, Anderson. Paak, F1 driver Lewis Hamilton, Nick Littlemore of PNAU, and the legendary El DeBarge (“Rhythm Of the Night”), who joined him on stage for a duet during his sold-out debut show in LA. In an industry saturated with manufactured and auto-tuned R&B, Diamond stands out from the crowd.
