Cassie DaSilva Drops New Single “What’s My Excuse?”

Cassie DaSilva Shares “What’s My Excuse?” Ahead of Upcoming EP

Canadian indie-pop darling Cassie DaSilva is ramping up for her upcoming EP release – You Don’t Wanna Feel This Much All the Time– with another new single, “What’s My Excuse.”

The single, penned by DaSilva on her piano, is an introspective look at what it means to be caught in an unhealthy relationship. With her signature dreamy vocals and moody melodies, What’s My Excuse is an exploration of the most relatable kind.

When speaking about the single, DaSilva recalls,

“It is about being caught in an unhealthy relationship cycle that you can’t seem to quit, even when you know you need to get out. There’s an anger to it, but it’s not really towards the other person…. it’s directed at yourself. You can only blame someone else for so long until you realize that you’re playing a part in it all.”

Dasilva also released a lyric video to accompany the new single.

Fans can stream the songstress’s first three singles—”Part of the Club,” “Middle Child,” and “What’s My Excuse”—in anticipation of the upcoming EP, You don’t wanna feel this much all the time, dropping May 17th.
