WHIPPED CREAM Transforms House Genre with Emotionally-Charged Single, “still?” on Monstercat

Multi-genre producer WHIPPED CREAM today taps into her rawest emotions on the new dance single, “still?,” out on Monstercat Uncaged.

From performing at festivals including Coachella, Lollapalooza, and ULTRA, being a DJ Mag cover artist, and securing placement on Spotify’s Billboard in Toronto, WHIPPED CREAM is undoubtedly one of the most in-demand producers. Expanding her musical horizons across multiple genres including electronic to hip-hop, WHIPPED CREAM continues to redefine her sound through picturesque storytelling and cinematic music videos. When debuted, her volumetric captured music video for “The Dark” with Jasiah and Crimson Child was the world’s highest virtual reality music experience to date, which led to a BOLD Award win at CIMA (Canadian Independent Music Association) Awards, a premiere at VIFF (Vancouver International Film Festival), and a showcase at SXSW’s XR Experience Competition in Austin. Boasting an impressive list of accolades such as being named Amazon Music’s Breakthrough Artist of the Month, securing a spot on Music Ally’s Sandbox Best Music Marketing Campaigns of 2023, and earning multiple covers on DSP playlists, she’s poised for a massive year ahead.

Exploring the universal emotions of longing and connection, WHIPPED CREAM captures the essence of lingering feelings that surface post-breakup. Evoking a sense of reminiscence and nostalgia, she reflects on a past relationship in the new record, wondering if the other person is experiencing the same thoughts. WHIPPED CREAM channels personal growth and positivity, ultimately manifesting her highest self through the powerful record. Originally crafted as a heartfelt piano and vocal piece, she evolved the record by blending melancholic raw sounds driven by electronic pulses and infectious house energy. This showcases WHIPPED CREAM’s evolving vulnerability and diverse soundscapes within the electronic genre, positioning her even further into the spotlight.

WHIPPED CREAM shares

“‘still?’ is about that feeling when you’re thinking about someone and wondering if they are thinking about you too. What first started as just a song with piano and vocal, ended up in the dance world mixing melancholic raw sounds with a positive juxtaposition of electronic dance energy.”

WHIPPED CREAM is heading to Temple in Denver on April 5th and Bass Camp Festival in Reno in July, with more music and show announcements to come soon.
