Kristin Carter Lights a Fire of Physical Chemistry and Leads an Uninhibited Journey Into the Unknown in Exhilarating Pop Anthem “Euphoria”
Contemporary pop artist Kristin Carter is celebrating her current single “Euphoria”, which is available on all digital streaming platforms.
Co-written by the Vancouver-based artist with fellow Canadian Steve Mitchell in Nashville, “Euphoria” is the second single to be released from Carter’s debut album, Full Bloom, which arrives on April 5th.
“Euphoria” – co-produced by Carter and Marcus Ramsay – is a dance-friendly pop anthem that radiates throughout a blissful lyrical exploration of an exciting new romantic connection. In keeping with the nature of the song, Carter delivers a surefire and breathless vocal delivery against a lively and upbeat production.
Carter says,
“The magic of finding electric chemistry with another person is the basis for ‘Euphoria’, as well as how that moment can make someone feel about themselves. In writing the song, Steve and I developed the lyrics into a central message of letting go of inhibitions, trusting confidence and instinct as a guide, leaning into the excitement of the euphoric unknown in whatever form that may take.”
“Euphoria” is the second single to drop from Full Bloom after 2023’s “I’m Still Here”, which was featured by BC’s Music Show (CBC Radio One) on Remembrance Day and added to Amazon Music Canada’s Brand New Music editorial playlist.
The release of “Euphoria” and the upcoming album accompany Carter’s newfound rise as an adult contemporary-leaning pop artist after her early success in the country genre, including the Top 20 Canadian radio single “Karma”, back-to-back semi-finalist placements in SiriusXM’s Top of the Country contest, and 3.8 million digital streams.
With the release of “Euphoria”, Carter is continuing her artistic evolution while also shedding light on the importance of physical connection and confidence in an often-disconnected world.
She says,
“The simple human pleasure of a meaningful interaction with another can create a spark that is worth pursuing with reckless abandon. For people who discover this song, I want them to feel sexy and liberated to seek their own ‘euphoria’ with unshakable confidence.”
First off care to introduce yourself to our readers?
Hi! I’m Kristin Carter, a contemporary pop artist from Vancouver, BC.
Tell us a bit about your recent release.
“Euphoria” is the dance-friendly pop anthem from my upcoming debut album; “Full Bloom”. It’s lively, upbeat, and was inspired by exploring the magic of finding electric chemistry with another person.
How do you typically go about the songwriting process? Do you have a specific method or creative routine that you follow?
It varies from song to song; sometimes I’ll get inspired by a little melody I imagine, and sometimes it’s a set of lyrics. For this one, it was the melody, followed by the lyrics. I wrote this one with Steve Mitchell in Nashville, and we had a blast doing it.
Looking ahead, what are your plans for supporting this new release? Are there any upcoming tours, music videos, or additional content that fans can look forward to in connection with this project?
We have an amazing music video in the works! It’s set in a bright electric neon club and features multiple versions of myself competing with each other. My friend and collaborator Eva Tavares is directing. She worked with me on the video for “I’m Still Here”, we’re having a lot of fun working on these together.
Looking back on your musical career, is there a particular moment or accomplishment that you consider a turning point or a highlight?
I’ve been lucky to have a lot of incredible moments with music so far. My highlight would be any time someone messages me to tell me how my music has impacted them. That means a lot to me and inspires me to keep creating.
Last but not least, it’s time to pay it forward, what upcoming band or artist would you recommend your fans check out?
Amanda Sum – I love what she’s doing. Stunning lyrics, with a voice that cuts right to the core. She should be on your playlist for sure.
