LARAW ANNOUNCES DEBUT ALBUM QUARTER LIFE CRISIS VIA BRAVO MUSIQUE OUT MAY 3, 2024
Singer-songwriter Laraw presents “September,” her fourth single released through Bravo. Now available on all digital download and streaming platforms, the song also announces the artist’s debut album, Quarter Life Crisis, which is slated for release on May 3rd.
An electro-pop tune with hints of grunge, “September” contemplates the road traveled with feelings of melancholy. Laraw openly expresses her disillusions, while trying to be kind to herself.
“Nobody told me about 20 something
I’m second-guessing every second that I feel nothing
Nobody gave me a warning (a warning)
I’m second-guessing every second, guess I
I guess I’m stuck
(I guess I’m stuck)
A crack in the mirror
Another year
I need a bit of forgiveness”
“September” was co-written by Laraw and Derek Hoffman, who also produced and mixed the track. Mastering was provided by Richard Addison.
Filled with doubts and self-questioning, Laraw’s latest single aptly represents the theme of her upcoming debut album. In the midst of her twenties, while single and trying to figure out how to be alone, the artist divided her time between Montreal and Toronto, gradually turning her journal into songs. “I had absolutely no idea what I was doing. I was running from my past with nowhere to go. I laughed, I cried, I dated, I messed up a lot. It’s my lesson of love, life, and forgiveness.” To support the release of Quarter Life Crisis, Laraw will give two album launch concerts: on May 2 in Montreal and on May 9 in Toronto.
