Vancouver alt-rock quartet Hotel Mira unveiled their latest album, I Am Not Myself, back in September of 2023, via Light Organ Records. The album features twelve songs, including the latest single, “Alone In America.”
Just last week, the band shared the music video for “Alone In America.” “Alone In America” is a song that both flaunts and criticizes American iconography. Shot in Las Vegas and directed by Kassy Mahea, it plays into the glitz and sleaze of the distilled over-the-top grotesque idea of America.
The music video comes ahead of Hotel Mira’s 19-date “I Am Not Myself Canadian Tour” kicking off next week in Victoria, British Columbia with support from labelmate Fake Shark. Get tickets.
