First off, care to introduce yourself to our readers?
Hey Y’all! 😊 My name is Cassidy Cummings and I am a country singer-songwriter from Burlington, Ontario.
Tell us a bit about your most recent release.
The release of “Fixer Upper” was super exciting for me as it is my debut single! It has been a long time coming but I am beyond happy to have music out on all streaming platforms for the world to hear.
“Fixer Upper” is a light-hearted and playful ode to a universal familiar feeling. Everybody longs to find their perfect some“one” but as humans, we are far from perfect! Capturing this relatable story with a hint of humour this song talks about the idea when we find our special someone despite their flaws we still see the “gold hiding ‘neath the dust”. In other words, they are un-perfectly perfect to us!
Do you have any upcoming shows you’d like to tell us about?
I recently played some shows promoting “Fixer Upper” and I am in the process of booking some more! Keep an eye on my Instagram and socials, I will be sure to post about upcoming shows.
If given the chance, which Canadian artist would you love to work with in the future?
This is a tough one, haha! I think I would have to say Shania Twain. I grew up listening to her music and am heavily inspired by her musically! She is a trailblazer for country music and women in music. It would be a dream come true to work with her.
What’s your goal for 2024?
Currently, my goal for 2024 consists of releasing lots and lots of music! I have been busy writing and recording, travelling back and forth from Nashville, and getting songs ready to release. I plan on releasing my next single in the new year so keep an eye and ear open!
