Montreal Indie-Folk Singer-Songwriter, Kelly-Ann Has Unveiled The New Single, “Let You Go”
Montreal indie-folk musician, Kelly-Ann, is thrilled to release her debut single “Let You Go” off her forthcoming EP, out in early 2024.
The song is about separation, one that’s not chosen but which is imposed because the love that emanates from it tears more than it nourishes. “Let You Go” is leaving someone despite great affection. It is the strength drawn from deep within to leave the other, whom you still love. It is the death of the harmful relationship that leads to rebirth. It is the greatest demonstration of self-love. “Let You Go” showcases Kelly-Ann’s impeccable vocals soaring through the song, exquisitely backed by a delicate string quartet.
“The first official song I ever wrote. This one’ll always be super special to me,” expressed Kelly-Ann. “Let you go is a total exposure of one’s vulnerability. It was not created in bitterness, but rather in the desire to move forward. ‘Let You Go’ is loving yourself enough to leave everything behind, without looking back.”
