Tonight, electro duo Chromeo brought the funk to MTelus for an amazing hometown show! The evening started with Chicago’s Ric Wilson, who brought all the party hip-hop vibes and got the crowd hyped up in a matter of beats!
Shortly after 9.30pm, Chromeo appeared onstage, with their usual setup of high-heeled keyboards. It had been a minute since Dave 1 and P-Thugg played their hometown, the last time we caught them in town being at Osheaga in 2018! And while it might’ve been a few years since we last saw them, the duo did not rest of their laurels, as they kept on releasing funkalicious albums such as Heads over heels and COVID-themed Quarantine Casanova! For the next hour and a half, Chromeo whipped out all the hits, from Somethingood to Come Alive, Bonafied Lovin’ and of course, 2014 classic earworm Jealous! Their performance turned MTelus into one big dance party, and we hope it won’t be another 6 years before they come funk our socks off again!
