At the end of September, Little Simz, British-Nigerian artist born Simbiatu Ajikawo brought her No Thank You tour to the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, BC.
Fellow rapper OTG opened the night and prepared the crowd for the main act by sharing songs from his album “Man Of A Few”.
Wearing an oversized white shirt, a bomber, black shades and tie, Little Simz appeared on stage ready to jump into the thick of it with “Silhouette”, “No Merci” and “Two Worlds Apart”.
During the show, she did not hesitate to get close and personal with the fans at barricades. Halfway through the show, she was joined on stage by her guitarist and bassist for “Introvert”, bringing another dimension to the rest of her set. She confidently moved through songs from her albums “No Thank You” and “Sometimes I Might Be An Introvert” under the constant cheers of the audience. She ended her 90-minute set with “Woman”, an homage to women of colour.
Little Simz is a born performer who confidently owns the room with her stage presence and charisma. She has established herself among the UK’s best rappers and her rise to a worldwide star is approaching.
