Award-winning country band, The Washboard Union, has just released the music video for their new single “Gather Round”
The Washboard Union, composed of step-brothers Aaron Grain and Chris Duncombe and their best friend David Roberts, have carved their place as one of Canada’s top country bands. With that being said, the music video for “Gather Round” follows hot on the heels of the JUNO and CCMA Award-winning band’s hit single“I Run On Country,” which is in the Top 15 at Canadian country radio with over 30,000 spins and millions of streams.
The single, “Gather Round,” was written by The Washboard Union and long-time friend and fellow BC songwriter Jeff Johnston and it’s a dynamic all-out country anthem that celebrates what truly matters in life –coming together. For the band, music is at the centre of making those memories and this song pays homage to the pivotal role music plays in bringing people together.
The accompanying music video for “Gather Round,” directed and produced by Roman Zugarazo and The Washboard Union, follows two best friends and The Washboard Union fans as they win tickets, take a road trip to see The Washboard Union live, and eventually end up meeting the band face to face at the show. The video was shot throughout Alberta with all concert footage shot live at The Washboard Union’s show at Ponoka Stampede 2023 in Ponoka, Alberta.
The Washboard Union are set perform key shows across Canada and the US this fall, including an appearance at Country Thunder in Florida on October 21 and Boots on The Beach in Riviera Maya, Mexico in January 2024.
