Tonight, American heavy metal rockers Avenged Sevenfold brought their Life is but a dream North American tour to Montreal!
Ontario’s post-hardcore band Alexisonfire opened the evening with an electric set! Just like when we last caught them at MTelus about a year ago, George Pettit, Dallas Green and the gang brought all the energy with a performance that packed quite the punch!
Shortly after 9pm, Avenged Sevenfold emerged on a stage full of haze and dark lights. Balaclava on his head, lead singer M. Shadows commanded the stage from the first few notes of Game Over. Throughout the show, the California quintet played tunes from their latest album, Life is but a dream…, as well as hits like Afterlife and Hail to the King. Avenged Sevenfold hadn’t played the Bell Center since 2014, and this long-awaited return was a treat for the fans, all the way through the explosive encore to the sounds of G, (O)rdinary and (D)eath.
