We are nearing the end of Festival d’été de Québec! For day 10, we started at the main stage, were fans in the first few rows had been camping since early morning for tonight’s headliner Lana Del Rey. Toronto’s Allan Rayman kicked off the festivities, very quickly charming the crowd with his mysterious charisma. Up next, The War on Drugs took things up a notch and rocked the stage in clouds of colourful smoke!
Meanwhile, at Parc de la Francophonie, moshing was in full swing with Québec Redneck Bluegrass Project who, as its name indicates, brought all the typical bluegrass vibes! Finally, we closed our evening with Streetlight Manifesto, the ska punk band from New Brunswick (the city in New Jersey, not the province)! On a stage of bright colours, frontman Tomas Kalnoky (formerly of Catch 22) rocked a rowdy crowd, complete with a full horns band that added some nice layers to the music! People moshed and crowd surfed to no end, a stark contrast from Lana’s dreamy vibes over on the plains!
