Ontario-based singer-songwriter, producer, and engineer, elijah woods has unveiled his six-song EP, what if it was great.
The EP includes previously released songs “everything everywhere always” and “past life” with a narratively connected, interstellar-esque series of official music videos.
woods shares,
“my creative process is a constant battle between self-doubt and the desire for perfection. i consistently struggle with the feeling that my music is never truly finished, and that i can always do better. i lose sight that the art is subjective, and there will usually be someone who loves and appreciates it, regardless of how i feel about it. over the last 8 months writing this ep, i kept asking myself “what if it isn’t good enough?”, and “what if no one likes it”. as i was completing the final song for the project, i realized i’d been asking myself the wrong question the whole time. i started asking myself “what if it was great?”. this ep is the story of self doubt pushing me to create a collection of songs i’m truly proud of.”
