Zach’s Picks of the Week is Back Once Again For Your Enjoyment

Hello out there and welcome back to another Music Monday! It’s once again time for the show that gives you the best-recommended music of the week. It’s Zach’s Picks Of The Week everybody, so I hope you’re ready top of your playlist. Canadian Beats Media is where you’re going to find the best music on the internet, from Canadian to International. My top five recommendations are coming up as well as our bonus passport coverage. However, these are just a few of the amazing articles posted here on the website, so be sure to go and explore for yourself and tell me who your favourites were. Right now you can check out this week’s video and listen to my recommendations.

Five

Kicking off this week’s show, It’s progressive-metal luminaries ONI. Who has unleashed a ferocious new single just after spending some time opening up for Megadeth and Bullet For My Valentine, the new track is called “Silence In a Room of Lies” featuring the incredible guitarist, Jared Dines. You can find the song available across all streaming platforms, and the brand-new video can be seen in the article. It’s described as a volatile, metallic anthem with a torrential onslaught of groove-laden riffs threaded with an infectious melody. Let us know your thoughts and check it out here.

Four

Now we move on to Tom Barlow, the JUNO-nominated artist behind the pop-rock band Barlow. Recently they released a new song and accompanying music video for “The Wizard,” which sheds light on the North American opioid crisis. In addition to raising awareness for the opioid crisis through the song, Barlow is using his upcoming concerts, which include his show at Toronto’s The Drake Underground on June 12th to educate fans about naloxone. I also check out the video in an article on Canadian Beats here and find information about those upcoming shows there as well.

Three

Up next in our list of new music, we have award‑winning rock musicians The Escape Society, who are thrilled to unveil their debut summer rock single “Sweet Days” along with the corresponding video. Dubbed an absolute summer banger, this new single will have you grab it across all streaming platforms now. The band will also be celebrating with a limited edition “Sweet Days” Beer, in partnership with a local microbrewery. Go and explore all the exciting news plus learn more about the band in our Five Questions With segment with them here.

BONUS – Canadian Beats Passport

This week’s Canadian Beats Passport will be highlighting the iconic pop-rock band, Boys Like Girls. They have finally got some new music that is available everywhere now, it’s called “BLOOD AND SUGAR”. But that’s not all, they have also announced their North America “Speaking Our Language Tour,” which is presented by Emo Nite. A 30-date run, which makes two Canadian stops (Vancouver Oct. 10th & Toronto Oct. 24th). If you can make it, get your tickets through the links here.

Two

Now we’re sitting at our second top spot of the week, we introduced to you Toronto-based shoegaze/ dream-pop band GENTLE, who just started out as a DIY project that formed at the beginning of the Pandemic, but now is a full-blown act that’s releasing music. Their latest single is called, “Introvert Anthem” but is a bittersweet and expansive sonically with intensely self-aware and anxiety-ridden lyrics. You can find it now across all streaming platforms and can be heard in an article here.

One

Time for my final recommendation, here on Zach’s Picks Of The Week. This time it’s gonna be the country act, Runaway Angel, and their latest single “Beach Please,” which you’re going to find everywhere. It was co-written down in Nashville with Kate Linné Malone and produced by Adam Newcomb. This will be a poignant milestone, as the group’s first bit of new music since Cadence Grace’s leukemia diagnosis in 2018. You can listen to the new single “Beach Please” when you check out our article and review of the new single here.

Those are my picks for the best music on the Internet this week, so I hope you found something new to listen to. You can also just go explore the rest of our website to find even more. So always stay up-to-date with us on our website and across all social media platforms, please, and thank you. Also, be sure to tell your friends about the new music and keep them involved. However, until our paths meet again next week, be sure to spin every single one of these songs all the time until next time. But as always, PEACE, LOVE, AND GOOD MUSIC EVERYONE!!
