Toronto’s Harley Olivia’s featured on Maybe May’s Latest Single, “Still Mine”

Toronto, ON-based artist, Harley Olivia is a long-time friend of the band, Maybe May, so having her featured on the new track, “Still Mine,” and in the accompanying music video was an easy choice.

The band shares that enlisting Harley added a much-needed “wow factor” to the video.  Part NSFW part silly, have a look to see if this vibes with your summer plans.

Watch Harley Olivia and guys from Maybe May in the video for “Still Mine” below and learn more about the team-up via our interview with Harley.

First off, care to introduce yourself to our readers?

Hey! I’m Harley Olivia. I’m a singer from Toronto and I’m also a vocal coach! I’ve sung in the bands ‘Anthems In Ashes’ and ‘Mineta’ but over the course of 2020 I launched my solo project. My music is high energy, electronic rock and it’s available everywhere you listen to music!

You collaborated with Mississauga’s Maybe May on their latest single, “Still Mine.” How did this collaboration come to be?

This was my third video with Maybe May! The first time we collaborated was in 2017 for their single “V U L T U R E S.” They approached me to write a really crazy scream break-down for the end of the song. That song and video were so much fun to make and we became good friends in the process. Now, I always jump at the chance to work together!

You are also featured in the video for “Still Mine.” How was the experience working with them on this release?

Terrible. Hahaha, I kid. It was as much fun as it looks! We all got to unleash our inner child, play in the sun, blow bubbles, and make each other uncomfortable by sexualizing fruit.

What was the highlight of the video shoot for you?

Hmmm probably laughing at Vitaly while he played his lone snare drum along to the full track or his dramatic slow-motion death by water gun where we all decided to make it look like he wet his pants.

How does the experience differ when you’re working with another band or musician rather than on your own music?

It’s always more fun when you get to work with your friends! I’m also a perfectionist and often direct and edit my own videos so it was really refreshing to just be a performer this time. It allowed me to let loose and really enjoy the process!
