Let’s get into it and get this week started off right with the brand new music coming out on Canadian Beats. As always, I am your host Zach Coopz bring any of my top five recommendations of the week called Zach’s Picks Of the Week. However, there is a twist for this week moving forward. We will now be featuring one bonus recommendation, which will be one of our Canadian Beats Passport posts, which features international artists from around the world here on our website. Our list begins with the Montreal-based, genre-bending musician Loryn Taggart. She is absolutely ecstatic to release her latest single, “Scandal Monger”. You can find the single across all streaming platforms, but it’s only the second single from her forthcoming debut album. Explore our review of Loryn’s new single here.

Moving on we meet an artist from the quaint suburb of Toronto who is always had a dream to become a popstar. Driven by external pressures and societal expectations, Loren Aronov strives to inspire others going through similar struggles in her music. Her latest single mascon can be streamed across all streaming performs. I highly recommend you check out our Five Questions With segment with Loren here.

Next Up, this is what happens when you combine two Canadian music legends into one guitar-heavy, power-pop unit. SLIP~ons are here from Montreal with their single, “Heavy Machinery,” the lead single from their upcoming EP. Learn more about the band via our Five Questions With segment here.

Into this week’s top two, we have an incredibly happy tune, from here, another talented Ontario artist. Bring it on the “Good Vibes”, it’s the latest single from multi-talented, singer, dancer, and actor Ana Pac. Her latest single is available on all streaming platforms and the video can be seen on our website. It’s a positively perfect banger that is just in time for the summer. BONUS – Canadian Beats Passport
This week’s special pick of the week goes to our Passport coverage. Highlighting the Genre-defying artist Gwyn Love. She shares the dreamy new single “Ur Gf Kisses Me” on all streaming platforms via 604 Records. This danceable genre-mashing song explores a more bedroom pop sound. Now for my final recommendation for this week’s list of the best music. Hailing from Toronto it’s VIOLET NIGHT and their brand new EP daydream drama. It’s the follow-up to the band’s smash successful LP A N T I H E R O E S. The new record features singles like “Headtrip” and “SAVE ME”. Surrounding these tracks are three others that show the trio’s ever-increasing mastery of hooks, from the emotionally distant title track to the downward spiral of “losing my mind.” Enjoy them all right here.
