Last night, US Metal band Disturbed brought their Take Back Your Life Tour to the Bell Center! Following an opening set by Theory of a Deadman, the white curtain hiding the stage dropped around 9.30pm, kickstarting the band’s headline set to the sound of Hey You. With a little less pyro than we’d expect, but on an impressive stage adorned by screens, the band put on a rocking show! Frontman David Draiman commanded the stage as he pranced around in his long black coat, while guitarist Dan Donegan and bassist John Moyer occupied the front sides of the stage.

The Bell Center was not filled to the brim, but while we think it could have sold-out Place Bell instead, it’s always nice to see bands evolve and play bigger and bigger rooms every time they come around! The setlist was made up of 17 songs, including two covers (Genesis’ Land of Confusion and Simon and Garfunkel’s Sound of Silence), as well as the live debut of their track Bad Man. The show ended with the cult hit Down With The Sickness, followed by Inside the Fire.

Disturbed will be visiting Quebec City, Toronto, Winnipeg, Edmonton and Abbostford in the next few weeks, before heading back to Europe. For tickets and more info, visit the band’s website!
