Tonight, British alt-rock band Placebo played a sold-out MTelus!
L.A. Poppy Jean Crawford opened the evening, ravishing the crowd with their captivating energy, in a low-light intimate set, getting fans excited for the main act.
The concert was Placebo‘s grand return to town, as their last visit was 9 years ago, when MTelus was still Metropolis! Prior to the show, messages advised the audience that cellphone photos and videos were not welcome here, in the spirit of living an experience as one community. With Brian Molko and Stefan Olsdal at the helm, what an experience it was! Their music, transcendent as always, carries fans on a journey through their hits of the 90s and 2000s, all the way to their latest album Never Let Me Go, released last year.
