Last night, Muse and Evanescence rocked a sold-out Bell Center for the first of two nights with their Will Of The People Tour.

After a kick-ass set by Japanese rock band One Ok Rock, we entered the venue the same time Evanescence walked on stage. We had fond memories of the metal band’s set back at Heavy Montreal 2019, and this time did not disappoint either! Amy Lee commands the stage with a great energy, belting out her song with a such a powerful voice that leaves everyone stunned. Highlights of the sets included classics Going UnderMy Immortal, and throwback hit Bring Me To Life.

Shortly after 9pm, British rockers Muse emerged on stage to Will Of The People, the eponymous track of their latest album, kicking things into high gear as bangers Hysteria and Psycho followed! The band is known for pulling all the stops during their shows, and last night was no exception! Short films interludes, pyro, confetti, masks, stage structures, and exceptional filming with onboard cameras that got right into the musicians’ actions. Lead singer Matthew Bellamy pranced up and down the catwalk, with solos that let his guitar do the talking. Last night’s setlist testifies of the band’s true staying power, with classics like Starlight and Supermassive Black Hole dating as far back as 2006 and 2009 Uprising and Undisclosed Desires. The evening ended on Knights of Cydonia, closing a night of true rock showmanship!

The Will of The People Tour will be playing the Bell Center again tonight, before heading back to the US and Europe. Visit the band’s website for tickets and more information!
