Mod Sun played his first headlining show in Edmonton on February 25 at Union Hall to an all-ages crowd. This show has been years in the making. Now that Derek Ryan Smith (better known as the man himself, MOD SUN) is able to get across the border again, he has made his way through Canada, making nights to remember for the fans, and was it ever worth the wait. Mod Sun came in hot with a stellar energy-packed, and interactive show with the crowd in the palm of his hands.
My name is Brooklyn and people call me Brooke most of the time. I’ve been music crazy since I was a kid and have been going to concerts since I was 13, I tend to listen to a mixed bag of music but 90% of the time you’ll catch me listening to heavy metal and old school rock and roll. I grew up in small town Saskatchewan and moved to Edmonton when I was 21. One of the first things I did after moving to the big city was buy a professional camera since I wanted to try to photograph live music and it turned out that it was something I was really cut out for. Since then I haven’t stopped and I am truly happiest when I have my camera in my hands. Capturing the moments of the show is a feeling that will never get old for me.
