Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Mary Resek has continued to bring her passion for Country Music to audiences across Canada.
Her natural Country style and musical influences over the years have continued to make a positive impact on her performances.
Mary has recorded two albums to date and several releases to Canadian Radio over the past decade. Her latest single release, “Quiet Man,” from her album, Count Me In, is a fun toe-tapping humble Country tune with a special story.

Care to introduce yourself to our readers?
Hi, I’m Mary Resek from Calgary, AB
Tell us a bit about your most recent release.
My recent release, “Quiet Man,” written by Judy Klass, Nashville, is from my second album, Count Me In. It is a fun, upbeat two-stepping song about appreciating a “Quiet, humble man”.., full of kindness and loyalty. It speaks to me personally, as it reminds me of my late husband, a “Quiet Man,”… on a lot of the levels within the lyrics of the song.
Where do you tend to pull inspiration from when writing?
Although I’m not a songwriter, in the true essence of the word, I pull my inspiration from other songwriters and the song’s lyrical content. The song has to speak to me personally, have the flavor of the genre I sing, and fit my style. Also, my own life experiences come into play and strongly influence the emotion I put into a song when recording and choosing a particular song.

All of my upcoming shows are posted on my social media pages and my website.
There are ongoing plans for a promotional tour in early to mid-2024.
What’s your goal for 2023?
To continue with further single releases from my Count Me In album, performing my regular gigs within the senior community, and plans for a future Country Gospel EP.
