After a brief hiatus following her wildly successful headlining cross-country 2022 Mapdot Tour, Platinum-selling country artist Jess Moskaluke is back in full swing with her latest single, “Not What Ya Think,” out now via MDM Recordings Inc. / Universal Music Canada. Moskaluke hones her songwriting skills throughout the track with clever tongue-in-cheek lyrics that are playfully optimistic.
Moskaluke is continuously revamping her dynamic country sound and evolving her songwriting. “Not What Ya Think” is written by Jess Moskaluke, Corey Crowder, and Emily Shackelton and produced by Corey Crowder. This JUNO award-winning artist turns the tables on a breakup anthem with a track that proves not everything is always what you think.
“‘Not What Ya Think’ is a fun and energetic musical reminder that you don’t always have to be heartbroken to find yourself enjoying a drink. It’s my ode to Carly Simon’s “You’re So Vain,” in the sense that in this story, the ex thinks I’m missing him, so I show up at the bar to drown out my sorrows … but it’s not what he thinks. I hope you love it!”

Hi all. I’m Nanci Dagg. I am from Winnipeg, Manitoba, and have lived my entire life here. There is nothing I like better than supporting local artists followed by supporting Canadian artists. Although I was a classic rock gal, my go to genre is country. Something about this music that just makes me feel great. I can be found at most country music concerts and shows (from someone’s house to really large venues) taking lots of pictures. Music and photography are two of my passions. Add to this mix, writing about artists, well let’s say, life doesn’t get better than this.
