Slipknot brought the Knotfest Roadshow to Montreal’s Bell Center last night! In front of a house packed with metal fans, hip hop/punk rock band Ho99o9 (pronounced horror) opened the night with their eclectic energy and haunted circus atmosphere. Next up, hip hop legends Cypress Hill took to the stage. However, rapper B-Real was alone onstage, as his MC Sen Dog had to drop out of the tour following a medical emergency. But that did not prevent them from deliver a solid set!
Finally, the crowd grew eager as a massive curtain hid the stage and the main set to come. Shortly after 9pm, the curtain fell with a bang, revealing Slipknot‘s crazy stage. With band members posted in the back, and on towers on the sides of the stage, you could see the action from every seat in the house! Lead singer Corey Taylor stayed front and center, with bass player Alessandro Venturella and guitarists Mick Thomson and Jim Root by his sides. The band provided a set full of masks, pyro and heavy riffs, a metal lover’s dream night!
