Toronto, ON’s Ava Kay has unveiled her new single, “Go”. The song (co-written with Craig McConnell) finally sees its release following an overwhelming response from fans discovering it through incredible sync placements such as a movie trailer and a Hallmark movie. It created over 37K Shazam’s and led to a strong online fanbase. From this incredible demand, Ava felt it was time to officially release the song.
Ava says;
”I wrote “Go” about moving on and moving forward: leaving home for the first time, chasing your dreams, leaving a town, leaving a relationship or a life behind. The lyrics: “And you take a few steps ‘til you can run, hesitation now would be wrong, so just GO. You can stay here, and wait it out – or figure out tomorrow, right now, so just GO;” are speaking directly to the doubts people have when they make these hard decisions and breaking through those doubts so they don’t hold you back.“
“Go” follows the release of her previous single, “Wild Again“.
“These songs are definitely a fusion of my pop songwriting capabilities and my work as a film composer. I really put my vision of who I am as an artist on them.” The tracks also help close the loop between where Ava started in music, and where she finds herself now, creatively and professionally: “You can find my work as a writer, but until now I don’t think you could discover what I truly sound like.”
