East Coast country-pop artist, Carolina East recently released her newest single, “All The Things”, the fourth single from her new album, Soaked With Whiskey, which is set for release in May 2021.
“All The Things” is a song about a failed relationship. It examines the loss you feel for everything that will never happen because of a break-up.
“‘All The Things’ is about all of what could have been with a past partner,” says Carolina. “I wrote this song about a relationship that didn’t work out, and for the best.”

Care to introduce yourself to our readers?
Hey all! My name is Carolina East. I am a country-pop singer from St John’s, NL. I am obsessed with singing power ballads and my favourite colour is GLITTER!
Tell us a bit about your music and writing style.
Writing music that is true and authentic is something that is very important to me, which is why I always write about experiences that I have gone through myself. Everything from heartbreak to flourishing love and all the feelings in between. Each song you hear is like reading a page out of my diary. As for the writing process, I prefer co-writing. I have often said that I like to draw the picture and have my co-writing friends colour it for me. For me, it works best to have some idea of the melody in place and then work on the lyrics. The entire process from start to finish is so exciting, but my favourite part of all is sitting in the producer’s chair when it’s all said and done to listen to the finished product for the first time.
How have you been keeping creative during the Pandemic?
This pandemic has really given me the opportunity to learn new things that I have been putting off. For example, I have been learning how to properly use social media to enhance the experience for my fans – both current and soon to be fans!
If you were asked to suggest only one of your songs for someone to hear, which would it be?
“Until You Are Sorry” – this song is a not so gentle reminder that an authentic apology is worth its weight in gold, far more than gifts or other material things. This is something we tend to forget.
Canadian Beats is all about Canadian music, so who are your current favourite Canadian bands/artists?
ALAN DOYLE – this man has been a mentor of mine for years. Also, Jann Arden has helped shape me into the musician and performer that I am today. One day I’ll share the stage with her, just you wait!
