Sweater Puppies unveil new self-titled EP

Toronto punk-outfit Sweater Puppies have released their sophomore EP, Sweater Puppies.

Blending elements of emo, punk, and garage-rock, the band is reminiscent of Canadian-punk heroes PUP and former emo-greats Sorority Noise with the mix of melodramatic and screamed vocal styles by frontman Nick Corcoran.

The album takes off with the chaotic track “Mayhaps.”

“Mayhaps is a song about wishful thinking and lack of confidence in oneself. Taken from emo roots, driven into the punk rock/pop aesthetic that we attempt, this is the first song we’ve created as a band that I believe truly defines our sound,” said Corcoran of the album-introduction.
