Montreal, QC-based artist, Troy Fernandes has released a video for his single, “Darling”.
The concept behind the song DARLING is about the relationship a “street dude” has with the woman in his life who has been there with him through thick and thin. It’s an expression of him (Troy Fernandes) saying DARLING let’s go out and have a good time and let’s leave behind our daily stresses and arguments and enjoy each others company for the night.
The song is written about the relationship between him and his actual girlfriend at the moment and those are (her hands wrapped around Troy’s face in the album cover art.)
As for the video, the main thing that Troy wanted to be portrayed was the admiration that he has for the girl who has stuck by his side.

Care to introduce yourself to our readers?
Being a singer/songwriter with a Portuguese background born in Trinidad and growing up in Canada I was able to take in a lot of different cultural styles of music.
Tell us a bit about your music and writing style.
I would say my music comes from the heart. I really use it as a way of getting things off my chest. Not only sad and painful moments but as well as feelings of love and joy.
Do you have any upcoming shows? For someone who has yet to see you live, how would you explain your live performance?
After helping to start off the carifiesta time of the year in Montreal with a daytime rooftop party in early July my next showing would probably be in the club alongside of one of the current Montreal DJs who are remixing my song. Which one is yet to be determined.
When I perform live I loved to show the audience the emotions in my words that may not come across when listening on the radio or online or even shown in the entertainment of a music video. I guess you can say it gets more personal no matter the size of the audience.
If you were asked to suggest only one of your songs for someone to hear, which would it be?
One of my songs that I just love to share with people would be BEING FRIENDS the Stone Van Broken remix to be specific.
Canadian Beats is all about Canadian music, so who are your current favourite Canadian bands/ artists?
Canadian artist that like lately would be-Loud Luxury, The Weeknd, Torey Lanez, Jessie Reyez, Anders, Houdini, and Chromeo just to name a few.
