Canadian singer-songwriter, Wandrer aka Renee Lemieux uses the powerfully evocative and often deeply personal songs she composes to process her own often conflicted feelings and experiences. Today she unveiled the lyric video for her debut single, “Feel More”, which has been described as a nearly hypnotic example of pop music songwriter at its most profound, most adventurous and most compelling.
Wandrer shares on the single,
“It’s definitely a sexualized song, but it didn’t really start out that way. I was in a situation where I felt cut off from life and I wasn’t really feeling much of anything – I was numb inside. I wasn’t depressed, more like I was bored. So, I wrote about yearning to feel more in my life. I wanted to be on a roller coaster, not just going in a straight line in life. But when I took it into the studio, me and Ian both looked at each other and realized that it had this really playful 50 Shades of Grey vibe.”
“Feel More” is just the beginning, Wandrer is currently sitting on a full album’s worth of material, so stay tuned for that.
