Canadian Beats Media was born in 2013 when founder and editor Jenna Melanson took a leap of faith and followed her passion for music, launching the site with the simple yet powerful slogan: “For fans, by fans.” What started as a grassroots project quickly grew into a thriving platform dedicated to spotlighting Canadian talent across the country.
Now, more than a decade later, Jenna runs Canadian Beats Media full-time, leading a team of passionate volunteer photographers and contributors who help bring the music scene to life through interviews, reviews, photo galleries, and more.
As Canadian Beats evolves, we’re embracing the idea of becoming more than media — a hub for connection, discovery, and celebration of Canadian music. Big things are on the horizon, and we can’t wait to share what’s next.
