On Monday, Sawdust City Music Festival announced the festival’s return to the beautiful historic “Sawdust City” of Gravenhurst, ON, this coming August long weekend. The third annual 3-day multi-venue music festival will take place August 2nd to 4th, and will feature headliners Bill & Joel Placket.
The festival will also include musician and actress Maria Doyle Kennedy (Orphan Black, The Tudors, Downton Abbey, The Commitments), The Sadies (Dallas and Travis Good are the sons and nephews of The Good Brothers – the long time closing band of the Music on the Barge), singer-songwriter Emm Gryner, and award-winning blues artist Shakura S’Aida. The weekend will include two evenings at the Opera House, a Songwriters’ Circle, Music on the Barge, Free Sunday Kids Zone, and a vendor village in Gull Lake Rotary Park.
