Aysanabee – The Way We’re Born Tour with Special Guest Cale Crowe

Aysanabee’s December 11 stop at Kingston’s Broom Factory was a study in intimacy, connection, and quiet power — the kind of show where every moment feels worth capturing. Playing to a packed room on The Way We’re Born Tour, Aysanabee filled the space with warmth, taking time between songs to speak directly to the audience and create a genuine sense of community.

Opening the night was Cale Crowe, an Ojibwe singer-songwriter from Alderville First Nation, hand-picked as part of Aysanabee’s commitment to featuring local Indigenous artists on each tour stop. Using a looping setup reminiscent of Ed Sheeran, Crowe built layered, rhythmic songs that translated beautifully from stage to lens, setting a strong visual and sonic tone for the evening.

Midway through the set, Aysanabee paused to gift his first tour jacket to a longtime fan who has attended many of his shows — a candid, emotionally charged moment that embodied the spirit of the night. For the finale, Aysanabee and his band stepped off the stage and into the crowd, performing among fans, shaking hands, and closing the show in a way that blurred the line between artist and audience — a powerful final frame for an unforgettable Kingston performance.

Aysanabee has one more Ontario stop on his tour – he will be playing tonight (Sunday, December 14) at the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium before embarking for a UK date on December 18th.
