Acclaimed Country Artists Jason McCoy, Chad Brownlee, and Jason Blaine To Embark On The Great Canadian Roadtrip Tour 2.0
Following the triumph of its inaugural run from 2023-2024, The Great Canadian Roadtrip tour is set to return next year for its 2.0 edition, co-headlined by acclaimed and award-winning Canadian country artists, Jason McCoy, Chad Brownlee, and Jason Blaine.
The Great Canadian Roadtrip 1.0 showcased the exceptional talents of Michelle Wright, Doc Walker, and McCoy. Back by popular demand, the second incarnation of the tour will see Chad Brownlee and Jason Blaine take the stage alongside Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame recipient Jason McCoy. The tour’s first leg will kick off in February 2025, with stops across the country including Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia, with more dates to be added. The second leg, covering Southern Ontario and Eastern Canada, will be announced in late spring 2025.
The tour will deliver an experience that is not only unique but also deeply personal, offering fans an intimate look at the artists’ lives and the inspirations behind their music. Each artist will share personal stories and fascinating insights about their songs, accompanied by stunning visuals.
CCMA Hall of Fame inductee and two-time Male Vocalist of the Year award winner, Jason McCoy is eager to perform again on The Great Canadian Roadtrip tour. As a 35-year veteran of the entertainment industry and frontman of one of the best-selling bands in Canadian country music history, The Road Hammers, Jason appears to be the king of reinvention. He has racked up CCMA and CMA awards along the way and become an all-round entertainer, from voicing the nationally syndicated Country Radio show Sounds Canadian (2007-2010), to stepping in front of the camera as host of Smashtown (CMT Canada/USA), two seasons of CMT’s Pet Heroes (2010/2011), and Jason McCoy Eats America.
“The Great Canadian Road Trip with Michelle Wright and Doc Walker was such a success, and I’m honoured to be back for 2.0 with Chad and Jason! These guys are the best in the biz, and built for this unique format, where we share personal videos, our stories and our songs. It creates a real connection and makes each performance truly special,” said Jason McCoy.
Hailing from British Columbia, Chad Brownlee’s signature sound blends elements of classic country sounds of the 80s and the modern pop country sounds of the 2000s. With over 125 million streams to date, Chad has solidified his status as a formidable artist in the music landscape from earning numerous gold and platinum-certified singles, topping the Canadian Country Billboard charts, and being nominated for a JUNO and multiple CCMA Awards.
“I can’t wait to get on the road with Jason Blaine and Jason McCoy in 2025. This will be the second cross Canada tour for Blaine and I (Your Town Throwdown 2013) and the first voyage with Hall of Famer McCoy,” said Chad Brownlee. “Both of these legends have such a depth of talent it’s going to be a blast to share the stage with them. Gonna put the “hammer” down across this “Country Side”!”
Originally from Pembroke, ON, the now Hendersonville, TN resident, Jason Blaine’s deep love for country music has taken him to the forefront of the music scene where he has remained for over a decade. Boasting over 30 million streams to date and multiple CCMA Award wins, Jason has also earned 13 Top 10 singles in Canada with hits such as “The Road That Raised You Up.” He has also received recognition as a respected craftsman of hits for other artists such as Chris Jansen, Parmalee, Petric, and Madeline Merlo.
“I can’t wait to hit the road in 2025 with these guys. We’ve been friends for years so the camaraderie is already there and so is the music. There’s a true appreciation for each other’s songs and I think the fans are really in for a unique experience as we perform our hits together,” said Jason Blaine.
