First off care to introduce yourself to our readers?
What’s up y’all my name Is LUM & I’m an artist from Windsor, Ontario.
Tell us a bit about your recent release.
“Motions” is a song about going through the rollercoasters of life & relationships, it’s about going through something deep with someone or something & overcoming it.
How do you typically go about the songwriting process? Do you have a specific method or creative routine that you follow?
Usually, I’ll play through some beats sent by producers, I’ll pick a few to narrow it down, then I’ll pick one to start on, I’ll come up with a topic & from there I just come up with flows or Melodies and put words to it.
Looking ahead, what are your plans for supporting this new release? Are there any upcoming tours, music videos, or additional content that fans can look forward to in connection with this project?
I have some great & creative content on the way for “Motions” I also have a live performance dropping for the acoustic version as well, I have a few shows coming up & my first project is also on the way!
Looking back on your musical career, is there a particular moment or accomplishment that you consider a turning point or a highlight?
The two moments that I can think of that were highlights & made me proud were my first billboard for Amazon Breakthrough Artist for Canada & performing at my first sold-out show on tour! Those were 2 moments that will forever motivate me.
Last but not least, it’s time to pay it forward, what upcoming band or artist would you recommend your fans check out?
I have 2 artists that come to mind right now. I would have to say 10K Moss from Oshawa & Seven Taviss from British Columbia. They are both Unique & talented in their own ways along with their own looks that complete their sounds. Definitely be on the lookout for them boys.
