Shred Kelly Announces Canadian Tour & Shares Video For “Lost Without You”
Alternative Folk-Rock band Shred Kelly are thrilled to get back on the road and do what they LOVE – PLAY LIVE SHOWS! The band will be going on a 17-date tour across Canada in celebration of the release of their album Blurry Vision. They’ll be joined by Hyaenas, Megan Nash, Goodnight Sunrise, and emmersonHALL in different cities throughout the tour. The band is known for their high-energy live show, which has been described as a joyous celebration of life, and the entire tour is going to be one giant dance party with artists Shred Kelly have been longtime fans of. Throughout the tour, the band will be collecting donations for The David Suzuki Foundation and The Unison Fund to support environmental initiatives counselling services, and emergency financial support to the music community in times of hardship. Full details and tickets can be found below and at www.shredkelly.com.
This past fall, the band released their 6th album, Blurry Vision, toured with their pals Elliott BROOD, and headed to Europe for a run of dates. The new album was produced by Nygel Asselin and is a deep reflection on the overwhelming nature of the modern world and its impact on our emotional well-being.
Now, the band shares the incredible new video for the single “Lost Without You.”
Shred Kelly partnered with cinematographer and animator Kenta Kikuchi from Pender Island to create this video. In early 2023, they were mesmerized by Kenta’s production on Peach & Quiet’s video for their song “Beautiful Thing” and reached out to collaborate on their uplifting track “Lost Without You.” Kenta directed the video and created a beautifully quirky video that complimented the lyrics and sentiment of the song.
“In 2019, Tim and I had our first daughter – right as I was supposed to head back to work in 2020, the world shut down, and we were cut off from support, community, and friends for a lot of 2020 and 2021,” shares Sage McBride. “Tim and I spent two years tagging off parenting and working most hours of the day to pivot our careers and stay afloat in a pretty stressful time. However, in that time, we had weekly dance parties, we cooked every meal together, and things really slowed down; we saved up and spent a lot of quality time with our daughter. I had always been drawn to being busy and moving around a lot, and I learned to really appreciate the small things, our home, and the core people in my life. It did feel as though we would be lost without one another, especially in those years when we were all that we had.“
