Can't Believe

Can’t Believe releases new single, “Liquor”

Can't Believe

Can’t Believe, made up of Seamus Dalton (Nap Eyes, Monomyth), Colin Ratchford (Fireball Kid), and a bevy of guest features from friends (Yves Jarvis, Shane Clay, EVY), is a boysband that melts down a broad range of genres into a sparkling Pop alloy with not a few dents in its coat. The project pulls vaporous 80’s samples, glitched into near-oblivion synth patches, shiny guitars, and soaring vocal exchanges between the paired lead vocalists into one distorted image of a boy band that proposes: Perhaps the leading heartthrob guys are actually pathetic, heartbroken, and drunk?

“Liquor” finds us in a hellscape/paradise wherein the sun is always just beginning to set, the cups overfloweth, the power chords are colossal, and the booze is inescapable. Think tailgate anthem for country boys lost in the big city, think poolside anthem for the ones who never left home. Featuring a solemn epilogue by LA’s Shane Clay, the track and its accompanying music video invites you into the sisyphean world of finishing up that work day and jumping as far as you can off the wagon. Maybe damnation isn’t so bad if it’s with your best buddies and cooler full of cold ones.
