The Mendozaz Drop Video For New Song, “Slasher” Ahead Of Indie Punk Compilation Release
Toronto punk power trio The Mendozaz are releasing a video to debut their brand new track “Slasher” – the first single from Go Kick-Ass!, a compilation record being released by Toronto-based CD-label Cartridge Heart. The short film portrays a masked killer stalking the premises of a condo building and menacing the residents.
“Slasher” was recorded by Heydon George at Canadian Musicians Cooperative. Mastered by Matt Gauthier. The “Slasher” video was directed by Jason Romilly.
Go Kick-Ass! features new music by independent alt/punk/metal artists in and around the greater Toronto area. It was recorded over the course of a weekend at two studio locations: the Canadian Musicians Cooperative in Barrie and Era Sun Sound in Toronto. Each group recorded a single song to contribute to the album, resulting in a collection of brand-new material designed to recreate the experience of receiving an awesome mixed CD from a close friend.
Physical copies will be available at the official album launch shows on September 8th and 9th at the Dock Ellis in Toronto; or by visiting Cartridge Heart’s Bandcamp page starting on September 8th.
